Join us on Saturday, July 20th in the morning for bilingual book reading of The Ugly Vegetables by Grace Lin, read by QTAPI chef Adrian Chang and regenerative ag tech entrepreneur Christine Su . We will have a bounty of vegetables featured in the book for you to look at and join us afterwards for a tour of the farm. This event is appropriate for all ages - even adults without kids who want to learn more about Chinese heritage vegetables!
The Ugly Vegetables shares timeless themes of community and diversity. A neighborhood comes together to share flowers and ugly vegetables soup, and the young gardener learns that regardless of appearances, everything has its own beauty and purpose. Complete with a guide to the Chinese pronunciation of the vegetables and the recipe for ugly vegetable soup!
No one turned away for lack of funds.
