Made from our organic ripe red Er Jing Tiao and our line of Chinese chili peppers grown at Radical Family Farms — a variety prized for fruity, fragrant character as much as heat. The most versatile Sichuan peppercorn hot sauce in our line. This hot sauce is built around mala - 麻辣 - the flavor of Chongqing cuisine. Là is heat. Má is the electric tingling numbing of Sichuan peppercorn - huājiāo 花椒. Named for Pó Po - 婆婆 - grandmother, and the juāncūn military village kitchens of Taiwan where Chongqing cuisine survived.
