OUR FLOWER PROGRAM

OUR LOCAL FLOWER MANIFESTO

The pandemic showed us how broken the supply chains are that is why supporting local farms is the way to go! Radical Family Farms has a long list of flowers that we are planning on growing through our CSA bouquet program.

80% of the flowers sold commercially are flown in on jets (hello problematic carbon footprint) and harvested up to a week before optimum bloom time, which means if you buy a bunch of flowers at the grocery store, they might not ever open!? How lame is that?

If you buy your flowers from us we can guarantee the following things:

Your flowers were harvested with joy. A honeybee or a bumblebee more than likely fed on the nectar or harvested some pollen from your flower. Bees are cool! If you have a marigold in your bouquet, we planted it not only because it smells amazing, it is also part of our pest management system. Your flowers are harvested and brought to you within 48 hours. We harvest all of our flowers at the optimum bloom stage and make sure they are in clean buckets of water before being delivered to you. Our flowers have a vase life of 10-14 days. Change out your vase water and cut the stems every few days to make this happen! We never sprayed any chemicals on your flowers. Pesticides, ewwww! Your purchase of our flowers supports the local economy which in turn creates meaningful employment and you’re doing your part to keep your money circulating within the beautiful state of California. The seasonality of flowers is something that we really lean into - the flowers you get at the beginning of the season will not be the same in the fall. There’s always something new blooming! We are committed to bringing you our very best blooms
