About Radical Family Farms

Radical Family Farms was founded in 2018 and had its first season in 2019. The farm is located on 3 acres in Sebastopol, California in Sonoma County. We grow culturally relevant crops for the Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese and South East Asian diaspora as well as non-Asian crops typically found at California farmers markets. We attend the Sebastopol Farmer’s Market on Sundays and sell wholesale through FEED Sonoma that is delivered twice a week across the Bay Area. We grow using agroecological, regenerative, no-spray, chemical-free and low-till methods. Seeds purchased are non-GMO, certified organic when available, and certain seed varieties are saved each season to allow adaptation to our farming system. As part of our food access initiative, we accept SNAP/CalFresh EBT, WIC and Senior Farmers Market Checks year-round at our booth at the Sebastopol Farmers Market.

Leslie WiseR 潘曉航, Owner and Farmer

Leslie Wiser was born in Chicago and raised throughout the Midwest in St. Paul, Cleveland, and Indianapolis. When she was in her early 20’s, she spent a season working on a 10-acre organic farm in Palmer, Alaska where her passion for regenerative agriculture took root. Being a first-generation mixed woman of Chinese-Taiwanese, German, and Polish Jewish descent, she rarely found her story and cultural heritage reflected in mainstream society or American agricultural communities. The lack of representation has continually inspired her to explore her multi-faceted heritage through the work she pursues. When Leslie had her children, she knew that food would be their main connection to their Korean Chinese-Taiwanese heritage. Radical Family Farms is the culmination of a 20-year dream to farm and just another step in the lifelong exploration of self.

Values that are important to Leslie are: family, service, excellence, prosperity, diligence and efficiency.
